Francesca once again was the first one awake 8:30AM. So we got CJ dressed and
David took him to breakfast in the Windjammer then to Adventure Ocean for the
morning session. The grownups then went for breakfast in the Windjammer.
David and Francesca headed for the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle while
Caitlin checked out the Gotta Dance introduction. She decided to skip on that
and headed back to the cabin for jeans so she could try ice skating at sea. By
that time David and Francesca had moved on to the morning session of bingo.
Caitlin also was in the Promenade and got an autographed photo from drew Thomas
whom we saw Monday night.
After bingo, David picked CJ up from AO and we shortly went to lunch in the
dining room. We ran into our waiter there who was serving another section but he
still called out “CeeeeeJayyyyyy” loudly to make CJ giggle. CJ was focused on
his roll though and was oblivious!
We headed back to the cabin for CJ to get some rest and Caitlin and David
joined him in getting some shut eye. Except CJ never actually got any shuteye
and David only snoozed a little. Caitlin on the other hand, got some quality
sleep.
Francesca went to purchase her Bingo tickets at 3:15, and David and CJ joined
her for Bingo at 3:45. CJ and David monitored the electronic Bingo gadgets,
while Francesca and David both punched the paper packs. Unfortunately, we did
not win and therefore will have to try again later... After Bingo, we went up to
the cabin to get Caitlin and went to watch the Freedom-Ice.com show. We had
forgotten to pickup tickets, but thankfully a Diamond concierge card benefit
took care of that. The ice show was a collage of segments related to Freedom,
such as “Free as the wind”, etc. It was a good show that we all really enjoyed,
although by the end we were all starting to feel the chill from the ice.
After the show, Francesca and Caitlin went to the dining room as they were
ready for dinner while CJ and David went to the cabin to change into dining
attire. During dinner, there weather was very cloudy and we went through a few
rainy patches. Dinner was good, but CJ was very tired and therefore needed to
head up to the cabin prior to dessert. Caitlin was nice enough to bring him up
since she wasn't having dessert anyways while Francesca and David had dessert in
the dining room and proceeded to bring some dessert up to CJ in the cabin.
When they arrived at the cabin, Caitlin had just enough time to dress CJ in
jammies before Gregory arrived to do his turn down service so first they waited
on the balcony and shortly later were joined by David and Francesca. Caitlin and
Francesca sang Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star to CJ since the stars were out in
the evening sky. Once the cabin was cleaned, CJ looked at the towel doggy and
had his cheesecake. CJ then proceeded to bed, and Caitlin went out for the
evening.
A few minutes later Caitlin was back. The big activity for the time was the
Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers show which she wasn't really interested in.
So we broke out the Uno cards we brought along and we played Uno for an hour or
so on the bed. Francesca got a spiked coffee from Seattle's Best and let me tell
you.. they don't skimp on the booze so the game of Uno turned into a giggle fest
between Francesca and Caitlin. Francesca's giggles were helped by the coffee and
Caitlin's giggling was I think just to make Francesca giggle more.
The big late night event was the 70s dance party on the Royal Promenade. Both
Caitlin and David headed out for it. The promenade was packed as the dance party
began and there was very little room for moving around. It started off with the
cruise director and a few of the cruise director staff on the "stage" dancing to
various 70's tunes. Then the Village people came to the stage, but they only had
the construction worker, the cop and the cowboy. The cruise director made a deal
about the indian being missing before tearing off his shirt and pants to reveal
he was the indian. Various village people songs were played. David had his
picture taken with the cop as he moved around the promenade.
