Activities:

While sitting on the bed with CJ in her lap Francesca asked CJ his favorite thing so far. His answer... track and field. When reminded of the H2OZone he also added the mini golf. So she asked CJ about Adventure Ocean and responded it was okay. But when asked if he wanted to go or not he insisted on going. So David took him for a quick breakfast in the Windjammer then dropped him off at Adventure Ocean.

The rest of us got dressed and we headed to the Windjammer for breakfast. After breakfast we headed back to the cabin to sit on the balcony as we came into St Thomas. Afterwards Caitlin gathered up a bag with a camera and her passport and headed ashore to do some shopping. Meanwhile David and Francesca made their first trip to the Diamond lounge where Francesca had a cappucino. We then got CJ from AO and headed for the sport deck. It was Francesca's first time up there. We played a round of mini golf which is 9 holes. We actually kept score which is nice as Francesca got a hole in one on the 8th hole. Final scores were CJ 36, Francesca 34, and David 37.

We then went down to deck 11 for lunch in the Windjammer. Ipek from Turkey once again made sure we had everything we needed. We always seem to find at least one waiter who looks out for us there in the Windjammer. We finished up and headed for the cabin.

David walked in first and found Caitlin cooling down on the sofa. She had just gotten back on the ship. She walked about a mile in to town looking through some shops and also took the lift cars up to Paradise Point which overlooks the harbor. She also bravely chose to hike the nature trail up to the very top. She was told to watch out for snakes and large iguanas.. she saw neither. She made it and due to all the trees there really wasn't a view. She did get some great photos of the harbor from the top of the cars area which we looked at as David went and got her a soda to help her cool down.

We then all changed into our bathing suits and headed for the H2OZone. As we were tied up along the pier the ship was slightly listing toward it so the water all leaned toward that side. So we shifted to that side and Francesca even got in and got drenched by the horse and mushroom fountains. CJ was braver today and let the fountains fall directly on his head. We finished up there with a stop at the sprinkles stations for cones for the kids.. that would be CJ, Caitlin and David!

Then it was time for a nap back in the cabin for CJ.. unfortunately he failed to cooperate but at least he was quite quiet. Caitlin headed up on deck to get some sun. Francesca updated the journal then she and David also kicked back for some quiet time as we had our date night scheduled tonight.

Caitlin returned and we chatted for a while. Francesca got her shower and dressed for the evening. Shortly after CJ came out and we had him do a sheet of his homework we brought with us. Then Caitlin and CJ got dressed for dinner.

Before Caitlin and CJ headed down we explained to CJ that if he was good through the evening he could participate in the kids pirate parade. It must have been some inspiration as he ate well at dinner and was well behaved. He even was willing to skip dessert to ensure he made it to AO in time. Caitlin brought CJ back to the cabin to get him back in shorts then took him up to AO to get ready for the parade.

Meanwhile David and Francesca went to Portofino for dinner. There are 2 main specialty restaurants on the ship. They require an extra charge but the food and service tends to be phenomonal. Francesca finally talked David into trying Portofino over Chop's Grille for this cruise. And it was wonderful!! They both had the shrimp risotto appetizer and then David had the filet while Francesca had the seafood skewer. David admitted that the steak was actually better in Portofino as it was seasoned better. And the seafood skewer was perfect for Francesca as it had all her favorites... fish, lobster tail, shrimp and a huge scallop. And then there was dessert... holy moley!! They were so pretty on the plates photos were taken! David had the flourless chocolate cake while Francesca had the tiramisu. Absolutely delicious too! And it didn't hurt we had someone we absolutely trusted with CJ down in the dining room so we could truly enjoy the moment.

The grownups all ended up back in the cabin and chatted while we awaited CJ's big moment. We left for the appointed time to see them go by Sorrentos but as he was the last in line it wasn't easy to see him. The grownups then decided to stroll the pool deck while we waited for the AO pick up time. The Solarium really is pretty by night.

Francesca was debating trying the Win A Cruise bingo while David picked up CJ. In the end Francesca decided to skip and instead she and Caitlin went down to the Photo Gallery and reviewed and purchased photos then we went to Sorrentos to pick up some pizza for the majority and antipasto for Francesca to take back to the cabin.

After our snack CJ was off to bed and Caitlin went off to go see what trouble she could get herself into. It's the late night pool party so she checked it out. Caitlin came back talking of how lame the DJ and band was so was back in the cabin by midnight. We chatted as David and Francesca worked on photos (yes we took a ton today) then all crashed by 12:45.
